D.R.O.P. Day Programme Aims to assist recovering drug users to reintegrate into mainstream employment or further education and training options through the provision of a facilitated, holistic, supportive, challenging and progressive, life skills based, personal development and educational programme in order to enhance individual potential and support for those living with the adverse affects of substance misuse within the community of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.

Day Programme Core Components: 1:1 counselling, Group process, Health Education, Addiction Awareness, Relapse Prevention, Stress Management & Rehabilitation, Reasoning & Rehabilitation (problem solving), NCVA/FETAC Accredited Educational Courses, Creative Workshops, Educational Outings, Holisitc therapies, Key working, Individual needs assessment and goal setting. 
Who is this service for?
  • 18yrs or older
  • Contemplative stage of change
  • Seeking supportDay Service Charlie
  • Interested in personal development and further education
  • Stable on Methadone or recently drug free
  • Free Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm 
  • Willing to engage in a structured programme
  • Motivated enough to commit to a 12 to 18mth programme

  • Self Referral
  • Local GP's
  • L.E.S. (Local Employment Service)
  • FAS
  • Probation and Welfare Service
  • Addiction Services
  • Local Organizations providing services in the area

Day Programme - Operates Monday - Friday from 10.00am to 2.00pm
Afternoon Programme - by appointment
Drug Free/Aftercare Service - 5.00pm-9.00pm wednesdays
Family Support Group - 7.00-8.30pm Wednesdays (one to one by appointment throughout the week)
  

Related Services: Afternoon Programme - Aims: To provide a safe supportive space for individuals affected by drug use to explore their options. Drug Free/Aftercare - All Day Programme graduates are expected to attend regular aftercare appointments with staff. This allows them to avail of continued support and to address any issues that may arise. We have extended this drug free support service to anyone living drug free who wishes to engage in one to one sessions to deal with any issues which may arise for them.
